Donate to Oconee Parks Foundation

 The playground located near the Bogart Sports Complex Field 6 was installed in 2002.  Over the years, it has served as a playscape for thousands of families of Oconee County Little League to OCPRD tackle football, as well as Oconee residents.  The Oconee Park Foundation is excited to support the replacement of the playground with a play system that meets best practices that activate play, promotes inclusion, and fosters social interaction.  The new playground will incorporate the six key elements of play that promote physical activity – balancing, brachiating, climbing, spinning, sliding, and swinging.  It will also provide a developmentally appropriate progression of skill opportunities that challenge youth and encourages movement in a playful environment. Estimated costs for the playground replacement project is approximately $350,000.

  The Tree Replacement Project for all Oconee Parks is an ongoing project within all the parks. Sadly, a total of 126 diseased trees have been removed from OVP and Herman C. Miller parks. With the support of Dr Michael Derr, an Oconee resident, UGA Professor, and Tree Connoisseur, we have been able to fund the installation of 19 new trees at Oconee Veterans Park. This is an on-going project for us until all the trees are replaced.

 The Oconee County Rotary Club build a beautiful new pavilion at the Oconee Senior Center in Oconee Veterans Park. The Senior Center and Oconee Parks would like to place 6 picnic tables inside the pavilion and 2 grills outside the pavilion. The cost of each picnic table is $1500. The cost of each grill is $500. This will be an on-going project until completed.
